Beaumont

Privacy Policy

Beaumont is an exterior cleaning company serving Greater Montreal. To quote and complete a job we need to know who you are and where you live. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, who else sees it, and how to get it back or have it erased.

01

What we collect

We only ask for what a visit actually requires. Nearly everything we hold about you is something you typed into a form yourself.

  • Quote requests: your name, the service address, your phone number, your email, the services you selected, and any details you write about the property. If you arrived from one of our ads, we also record which landing page you came from.
  • Your account, if you create one: your name, email, and phone number. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and is never visible to us. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google, not your Google password.
  • Job applications: if you apply to join our team, we collect your name, phone number, email, your answer about why you want to work in sales, and your availability for the posted schedule.
  • Service records: quotes, contracts, scheduled visits, reward points, referrals, and before-and-after photos of the work performed at your property.
  • Payments: the amount, the method, and whether it was paid. If you pay by card, your card number goes directly to our payment processor — it never reaches our servers and we never store it.
02

You do not need an account to get a quote

A quote request submitted from one of our ad landing pages is stored on its own, without a login and without a password. We keep it so a human can read it and call you back.

Creating an account is only necessary if you want to track quotes, contracts, payments, and reward points over time.

03

Why we collect it

Each piece of information has a specific job. We do not collect personal information speculatively, and we do not build profiles about you beyond what is needed to serve you.

  • To prepare an accurate quote, we need the address and the condition of the surfaces.
  • To confirm and carry out a visit, we need to reach you by phone or email.
  • To handle billing, disputes, and warranties, we keep a record of the work performed and what was charged.
  • To review job applications and contact candidates.
  • To understand which ads and neighbourhoods bring in work, using the aggregate measurement described below.
04

Marketing is opt-in and separate

The consent checkbox on our quote forms covers seasonal reminders and offers only. It is optional, unchecked by default, and leaving it blank does not affect your quote in any way.

If you do opt in, every message we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also withdraw consent at any time by replying to any email or writing to the address at the bottom of this page.

Messages that are strictly about a quote or a booking you asked for — a confirmation, a scheduling change, an invoice — are not marketing and are sent regardless.

05

Who else sees your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it. We share it only with the service providers that make the site and the business run, and only to the extent each one needs.

  • Our hosting and database providers, who store the site and the records described above on our behalf.
  • Our email delivery provider, which sends quote confirmations and notifications to you and to our team.
  • Our payment processor, if you choose to pay by card.
  • Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, for the measurement described in the next section.
  • Address lookup services, as described below.
  • Anyone we are legally required to disclose to, such as in response to a valid court order.
06

Address lookup and location

When you type an address into our quote tool, the text you type is checked against public address databases so we can offer suggestions. Those lookups are made by our server rather than by your browser, which means the lookup services receive the address text but not your IP address.

If you choose to tap the option to estimate your location automatically, your browser contacts a third-party location service directly, and that service will see your IP address. This only happens if you tap it — we never do it in the background.

07

Cookies and measurement

The site sets a small number of cookies. Some are necessary; the analytics ones are not, and you can block them without breaking the site.

  • A sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in to your account. Necessary.
  • A language cookie that remembers whether you are browsing in English or French. Necessary.
  • Google Analytics, which measures page visits and general traffic patterns.
  • The Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which records page views and whether a quote request or job application was completed, so we can measure which ads work. It does not receive the contents of your form.
  • You can block these with your browser settings or an ad blocker, opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, and adjust ad personalization in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
08

What stays on your device

If you start a quote and do not finish it, your progress and contact details are saved in your own browser so you do not have to retype them. That data stays on your device, expires automatically after one hour, and is cleared as soon as the quote is submitted. Clearing your browser data removes it immediately.

09

Where it is stored, and for how long

Our hosting, database, and email providers operate infrastructure outside Quebec, including in the United States. This means your information may be stored or processed outside the province and may be subject to the laws of the country where it is held.

We keep quote requests and service records for as long as we have an active relationship with you, and afterwards for the period we need in order to meet our tax, accounting, and warranty obligations. Job applications from candidates we do not hire are kept for a limited period in case a suitable role opens up, and are deleted after that. You can ask us to delete your information sooner — see below.

10

Your rights

Under Quebec's Law 25 and Canada's federal privacy legislation, you have real and enforceable rights over the information we hold about you. We will not charge you for exercising them, and we will respond within 30 days.

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your information, where we are not required to keep it.
  • Withdraw your consent to marketing at any time.
  • Receive the information you gave us in a structured, commonly used electronic format, or ask us to transfer it.
  • If you are not satisfied with how we handled your request, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
11

Security

Access to customer records is restricted to Beaumont staff who need it to do their job, and is enforced at the database level rather than only in the interface. Traffic to and from this site is encrypted. Card numbers are handled entirely by our payment processor and are never stored on our systems.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever presents a risk of serious injury to you, we will notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information as the law requires.

12

Children

Our services are sold to property owners and occupants. This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 14. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

13

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting how we use information you already gave us will be communicated to you directly where we have a way to reach you.
